Senior Import Coordinator

Main Duties:

• Source and develop new suppliers in China, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh
• Price negotiation, place orders and oversee entire flow of production
• Delegate work to import coordinators, ensure that deadlines are being met so that production arrives on time.
• Work closely with buyers and assistant buyers

Criteria:

• Minimum 5 years experience as an IMPORT COORDINATOR preferably in Home Fashions
• Must be familiar with major Canadian & US retailers product requirements.          
• Must have a Bachelors Degree.                                                                              
• Must have EXCELLENT communication skills                                                      
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment                                                    
• Must be organised, have a sense of urgency
• Ability to speak Mandarin is an asset.
• Must be able to multi- task, prioritise & be detailed – oriented
• MUST possess leadership qualities and/or a background in managing/supervising
