Our client is a manufacturing company that has been firmly established in Québec for over 65 years. They specialize in the development and manufacture of products for the residential construction sector. They are currently looking for a product development technician for their state-of-the-art factory.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the Director of Quality, Research, and Development, if you are selected for this position, your mission will be to design, develop, and research materials/components in order to improve products.

  • Help improve new products and existing products;
  • Help implement and maintain the system for managing product assembly methods and procedures and ensure that they are respected;
  • Take part in the implementation of quality standards and objectives, ensure that quality objectives and criteria are respected throughout the various departments, and promote a culture of quality within the company;
  • Design and develop new components in collaboration with the design draftsperson;
  • Help prepare materials and assist in testing various prototypes;
  • Perform tests to validate the integration of new components or to determine the cause of a problem;
  • Liaise with suppliers;
  • Provide technical support to production and after-sales service;
  • Take part in various meetings, including product development ones;
  • Take care of various certifications;
  • Carry out any other task related to your duties.

Required qualification

  • College diploma in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering, or a vocational diploma or other relevant studies;
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience;
  • Familiar with AutoCAD.
