Process Engineer

Our client, an important producer of chemical products for the industrial sector, renowned for its innovative solutions and is constant development, is currently looking for a process Engineer.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the director of operations, you will have to contribute your expertise to carry out industrial projects or solutions to improve current processes. In addition, you will have to define equipment, instrumentation and control needs, estimate project costs, approve supplier shop drawings and write technical and expert reports. As such, you will :

• Implement projects that will achieve the plant's quality and production performance objectives ;
• Identify improvement opportunities and propose innovative solutions ;
• Participate in the installation of new equipment ;
• Actively participate in continuous improvement activities to reduce rejects and operating costs ;
• Ensure excellent collaboration/coordination between the various stakeholders ;
• Collaborate in employee training and develop safe work instructions ;
• Carry out every other task compatible with your functions.

Required qualification

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering or any discipline relevant to the industrial process ;
• Be a member in good standing of the OIQ ;
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience ;
• Experience in personnel management or management skills ;
• Leadership and good communication skills ;
• Technical rigor and good organization ;
• Demonstrate an interest in innovation and to invest in the company and demonstrate a spirit of intrapreneurship ;
• Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
