Fashion Import Coordinator - Undergarments / Activewear/Hosiery

Production order placement with American & Canadian vendors including follow-up to ensure on time delivery. 

Following through the complete production process including lab dips, strike offs, fabrics, trims, accessories, fit, size set, pp & TOP sample approval.

Process all samples with Tech Dept. to ensure specifications are met & quality meets requirements.

Establish Time and Action calendar (tracking WIP) for overseas factories to ensure that all the goods meet delivery & quality standards. 

Push weekly updates from factory.

Monitor the current vendor base regarding performance standards such as quality, on time delivery, product compliance, pricing, communication & overall service consistency.

Maintain vendor scorecard.

Understands overall production management process & establish Work in Progress with the factories to keep orders on track. 

Knowledgeable in offshore import regulations, international trade terms, & understands import operations and CDN/U.S. Customs rules.

Ensure all product is in compliance with all applicable laws & regulations as well as specific customer requirements.

Understand all principals of logistics & follow up on all inbound shipments.

Maintain close communication with the Operations department & customer Service on inbound deliveries & order tracking; maintain weekly meetings

Update QC on all incoming shipment; provide TP and approved pp sample for their cross checking.

Communicate with PD and merchandising teams on all approvals & to ensure a smooth product development process & handovers.

Be proactive, anticipate problems, facilitate problem solving, & address issues in a timely manner.
