Our client, a leader in the swimwear and casual fast fashion industry, is looking for an experienced and talented technical designer to add to their growing team.

The responsibilities include: 

  • Develop, sketch and add all the technical details of a garment on adobe illustrator 
  • Preparing tech pack of all styles for Asia with all the technical aspect of sewing and garment construction
  • Preparation of an adequate measurement sheet to the info of the technical drawings
  • Measuring the garment upon arrival from Asia, enter measurements on the spec sheet 
  • Proceed with the technical verification of the garment (Quality Control) as required
  • Schedule a fit interview with the Model and the Merchandiser 
  • Make measure and fit adjustments during fitting session with model 
  • Adjust all measurements on spec sheet and file information according to company policy
  • Send revisions to supplier in Asia
  • Answer all email coming from Asia every morning
  • Making color information sheet for all collections (color details of all trims and garment, back info) 
  • Do different clerical tasks for the department such as send and receive packages, create follow-up tools, file documents, fill-in different type of documents making sure that information is accurate. 
  • Participating in the production by reviewing and then sending the comments in Asia on the different items such as lab dip, strike-off fabrics quality, trims, etc. 
  • Contact the licensor and the designer to submit, confirm or request information about the design of the collection.

Your skills include:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as Technical Designer 
  • Highly organized, dedicated and committed to excellence
  • Capacity to work under pressure
  • Ability to adapt to change and perform new tasks
  • Team player,  independent and resourceful
