The Director of Marketing is responsible for developing, planning and executing market campaigns to achieve the company's growth objectives and leading a small team of marketing professionals.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, with the ability to drive insights from data and other research techniques, and can grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits that customer’s value. The Marketing Director will partner with product management and sales in crafting the messaging and positioning for products, and in developing innovative marketing programs that drive demand.

Job Description:

  • Leading the development of an integrated global marketing plan, that allocates budgets and schedules milestones in key target market go-to-market plans.
  • Researching our customers and their buying processes, mapping customer touch points and their experience with our products, and monitor and report on marketplace trends.
  • Participate in major sales presentations either in the showroom or at local and international trade shows or market weeks.
  • In cooperation with product management, developing product positioning and messaging that differentiates our products in the market, while maintaining corporate branding standards.
  • Creating and executing marketing programs that retain our customer base and drive new demand, with a mix of inbound and outbound marketing tactics.
  • Coordinating all marketing activities related to launching new products and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
  • Managing the portfolio of sales support tools, and supporting product management and sales in developing tools that communicate product value propositions and support the selling process.
  • Managing the marketing budget to ensure expense targets are met.
  • Prepare and deliver reports on the status of all marketing programs and initiatives and asses returns on campaigns and promotions.
  • Providing leadership, mentorship and career development to the marketing team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or equivalent, with emphasis on Marketing.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of related experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of marketing leadership experience managing high-performing team.
  • Proven track record of increasing revenues through marketing initiatives and growth strategies
  • Excellent organizational skills, with demonstrated track record of delivering multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong Business Acumen, with ability to support development of marketing and sales strategies.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with ability to analyze regional market potential and customer profiles to develop effective marketing plans.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and tactics.
  • Excellent communications, and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer and results oriented.
  • Bilingual (French and English), with excellent writing skills.
