Wholesale Forecast / Demand Analyst - Consumer Goods

Location: Downtown Montreal

Salary: $45,000

New position for a large wholesaler working closely with the Demand Planner to drive production, maximize fill rates and minimize inventory risk

Our customer is presently searching for a new team member to help support the growth they are currently experiencing.

As a forecast Analyst you will be working closely with the Senior Demand Planner and participate in the S&OP process while identifying and analyzing trends to help build a solid item/customer forecast to help build accurate production planning models.

Responsibilities:

Analyze forecast reviews and identify gaps

Participate in S&OP meetings and integrate market intelligence to forecasts

Communicate planning decisions to sales team

Maintain data integrity in the planning software

Work closely with management to forecast new product launches

Work closely with inventory reports and find exit strategies and phase outs

Manage forecast for low turning inventory and provide recaps to management and Executives

Investigate root causes for different scenarios

Generate lots of forecast and planning reports for different departments

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree with 1-2 years’ experience.

Relevant university coops or internships a plus.

Excellent organization skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Highly computer literate - Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel Spreadsheet, and Outlook) with advanced Excel skills.
