Swimwear Technical (PAD) Production Team Manager

Our client, a swimwear manufacturer  is looking for a bright and experienced technical production manager to add to their growing team.

• Working knowledge of Pad system, experience managing a small team
• Fits, grading, teck pack preparation
• Production, quality control

Main Duties:

• Manage a team of 3 patternmakers, delegate and monitor daily duties.
• Participate in and monitor fit sessions on live models or mannequins, oversee report of fit comments to be sent to overseas makers for counter sample request.
• Assist in the Preparation and completion of technical packages to send to overseas makers for price quotations (technical sketch, sample of trims, accessories, labeling, packaging, specs).
• Follow-up with manufacturers, to receive lab dips, fabric quality, trims, Fit samples and Pre-Production samples, all with a controlled schedule to ensure delivery dates are respected.
• Trouble shoot regarding fit/quality control/late delivery/grading issues.
• Verify production once it arrives in warehouse, prepare comments if there are any production issues to be discussed with manager.

Criteria:

• Must have minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a technical production manager. Strong working knowledge of Pad system.
• Must be strong on photoshop and illustrator, must know how to prepare spec sheets and technical packages as well as grading.
• Experience managing a small team.
• Note that even though this is a managerial opportunity, the candidate is also expected to actively participate in patternmaking, grading, fits, quality control, the preparation of teck packs.
• Experience in swimwear an asset.
