Reporting to the Property Manager, the incumbents will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance and will assist in the development of a preventative maintenance plan. They will perform electrical, plumbing, mechanical and general carpentry work and will ensure the cleanliness and general upkeep of the property. Moreover, they have to be available to answer emergency calls from the adjacent building one week on two including the weekend.

Tasks overview:

  • Perform repairs (plumbing, plastering, paint…);
  • Carry out repairs as necessary to maintain building;
  • Ensure that the building (exterior and interior) is kept clean and neat at all times by doing inspections;
  • Participate in daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks (cleaning walls, furniture, smoke alarms…);
  • Prepare vacant units for re-renting;
  • Complete maintenance reports;
  • Manage the emergency calls;
  • Assist with the collection of monthly rent;
  • Other related duties as assigned by the Property Manager.

Qualifications :

  • 3 to 5 years' experience;
  • Be perfectly bilingual, English and French;
  • General understanding of basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry;
  • Good communication.
