Our client, a company over a hundred years old, specialized in the creation, manufacturing, and sale of a wild range of jewelry ( medium and high range) is currently looking for a production manager for his facilities In Montreal.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the company management, you will have as main mandate to coordinate the production operations of the factory and to work on the production process continuous improvment production process. You will be called upon to improve and identify opportunities to improve and improvment and standardize the practices. As such, you will :

  • Manage production operations to ensure optimal use of equipment, human resources and raw materials ;
  • Lead all stages of the delivery and support cycle, including requirements, design, development, testing, installation, and support ;
  • Lead and facilitate the implementation of new systems, software, policies, and procedures within the Manufacturing Department ;
  • Participate in defining strategic goals and objectives for the manufacturing Department ;
  • Ensure timely production for all B2B & Ecommerce orders ;
  • Produce Daily Production Dashboards ;
  • Act as direct liaison between the manufacturing administration and factory shop floor production_ daily operations ;
  • Lead all lean operations & six sigma project initiatives ;
  • Lead cultural and organizational change, implement operational excellence and lean manufacturing for continuous improvement of competitiveness and financial performance, operations, and management commercial manufacturing ;
  • Develop and execute process validation strategies under quick timelines by working with cross functional teams including formulation development, analytical, quality, supply chain and regulatory to ensure creative and efficient implementation ;
  • Formulate validation master plans, validation protocols, validation reports, continued process ;
  • Monitoring plans and statistical sampling plans, among other important strategic documents ;
  • Responsible for defining, implementing, and maintaining appropriate SOP’s and training ;
  • Implement the appropriate team and departmental structure and establish the required processes and communications to enable the department to effectively deliver on all commitments ;
  • Establish proactive collaborative relationships with key employees & relationships with customers, to anticipate their needs and offer solutions to meet them ;
  • Carry out every other task compatible with your functions.

Required qualification

  • Bachelor in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, operations and logistics engineering, or any other relevant training ;
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing industry;
  • Experience in human resources management ;
  • Good knowledges and use of continuous improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma, problems solving) ;
  • Good interpersonal relationships ;
  • Bilingualism (french and english written and spoken) ;
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced with minimal supervision environment ;
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
