Importer of household products, is looking for a dynamic and experienced legal assistant to add to their team.

Our client is looking for a dynamic and bright Legal Assistant to add to their team. The legal assistant will perform standard paralegal functions

surrounding the preparation and drafting of legal documents as well as:

Perform standard paralegal functions;

Oversee and coordinate the existing legal follow up calendar and system;

Prepare and draft legal documents;

Manage the record and closing books for the corporation and its subsidiaries including the management of corporate registrations;

Obtain searches from various government agencies;

Summarize legal information;

Provide general legal and administrative support to legal and corporate services;

Act as liaison between legal professionals and individuals with various internal and external groups and take the appropriate steps;

Assist in the management of corporate governance policies;

Coordinate Company’s insurance renewals

Prepare the information requested by the auditors;

Perform various administrative Duties.

Requirements:

  • Paralegal College Diploma with a minimum of 2-4 years related experience
  • Knowledge of corporate legal principles and procedures usually obtained through industry-sponsored courses and through experience;
  • A detailed oriented approach to your work;
  • A very good understanding for confidentiality;
  • Works well under pressure;
  • Excellent organization skills;
  • Word, Excel and Office suite;
