Packaging applications Engineer (packaging equipment and products)

Our client is a large-scale plastics-processing company with a client based mainly in the food sector. They are currently looking for a Packaging applications Engineer (packaging equipment and products).

Nature of position

In close collaboration with various stakeholders, it will be your responsibility to provide technical expertise and support on the entire client's product offering for existing and potential customers across all industries: beverage, industrial & chemical, aseptic, food service, wine & spirits and processed fruit.

• Carry out any other task related to your duties.
• Assist with on-site training for customers;
• Identify, recommend and engage appropriate stakeholders, including Sales, Manufacturing, Global Technology and Field Service to help resolve issues;
• Provide written technical reports to track and records process;
• Create technical data sheet and sales specifications in online database;
• Commercialize new products through execution of validation protocol;
• Oversee products trkials, manage customer expectations and assist with resolution of complaints;
• Provide core costumers and new strategic opportunities with proactive technical solutions related to packaging materials, filling and packaging line equipment;
• Dedicated assignments as the primary technical contact with core customers;

Required qualification

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field (mechanics, chemical, materials, etc.);
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience;
• Fully bilingual (English and French);
• Must be willing and able to travel out of the Montreal area;
• Familiarity with any of the following is preferred: flexible packaging, aseptic processing and filling, injection molding, plastics extrusion or barrier films;
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
