Our client, a pharmaceutical company specializing in the manufacture of medical devices for companies in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, is currently looking for an electromechanic for its facilities in the Montreal region.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the Chief Engineer, your will have as mandate to identify, repair and improve the various mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and electronic equipment of the plant, in compliance with OHS procedures. As such, you will :

  • Complete scheduled preventive maintenance tasks ;
  • Perform corrective and emergency repairs during daily operations with an emphasis on maintaining production ;
  • Complete equipment settings and format changes ;
  • Collaborate with the production staff to identify the priority of intervention according to the duration of work and production needs ;
  • Collaborate with the production engineer on ongoing improvement projects as well as on work carried out by external suppliers ;
  • Document the work performed on the equipment, including the condition of the equipment, a shift change and parts used during repairs ;
  • See to the application and respect of health and safety rules and regulations ;
  • As the maintenance service grows, will have to respond to emergencies on call ;
  • Perform all other tasks compatible with your function.

Required qualification

  • DEP in electromechanics of automated systems or any other relevant training ;
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience ;
  • Periodically available for overtime to support production operations ;
  • Excellent approach to solving mechanical and electronic problems ;
  • Capable of diagnosing PLC relay logic ;
  • Able to work under pressure with tight schedules ;
  • English and French, spoken and written an asset.
