Our client is a company that offers engineering, manufacturing, and installation services for integrated automated machines (ready-made) for a variety of sectors, particularly for the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and food industries. They are currently looking for an Electrical Projects and Automation Engineer.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the head of automation and control, your job will primarily consist of designing electrical systems and automated control systems for various types of equipment manufactured by the company.

  • Design electrical systems and automated control systems;
  • Design and create electrical plans;
  • Contribute to the programming of PLCs, user interfaces, control systems, and robots;
  • Select the necessary technology for the project (PLC, Drive, servo control, etc.) and ensure that they are compatible;
  • Write up the documentation associated with projects assigned to you;
  • Submit suggestions based on your observations to the head of engineering and operations in order to optimize the company’s competitiveness on the market;
  • Take part in installation of systems on-site for clients;
  • Carry out any other task related to your duties.

Required qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, automated production engineering, or other relevant education and training;
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience;
  • Member of l’Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec;
  • Proficient with reading electrical plans and with programming PLCs and MMIs;
  • Knowledge of robotics programming (an asset);
  • Knowledge of Autocad.
