Commercial Furniture North America Logistics

Salary: $50,000

Logistics:

• Obtain freight quotes for future and ready to ship orders, negotiate preferential rates on behalf of company
• Obtain freight quotes, book and coordinate all incoming freight from suppliers
• Complete data entry process upon receipt of all instructions, book and coordinate all outgoing freight to customers
• Prepare and coordinate all internal freight confirmations to customers
• Responsible for accuracy of all commercial invoices and shipment details prior to shipping
• Responsible for filing and following up on all freight claims
• Communicate and follow up with customs broker on applicable customs issues
• Ensure time sensitive shipments are followed up on until completion

Installations:

• Obtain installation quotes for new projects, negotiate preferential rates on behalf of company
• Primary contact between company and our customers - coordinate installations with customers, service providers and applicable company representative
• Maintain database of installation partners

Customer Service:

• Provide follow up to customers on their shipments in transit
• Follow up with customers, where applicable, with regards to their delivery and installation needs
• Provide administrative back up support as required

Qualifications

• North American logistics experience is mandatory
• Experience dealing with customer installations and sub-contractors is preferable
• Strong negotiation and follow up skills required
• Resourceful, determined and takes initiative
• Proven ability to think independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Detail oriented with excellent follow up skills
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, Excel and Word
• Bilingualism (French and English) required, spoken and written
• Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience, preferably in a custom manufacturing company.
