Bilingual Human Resources / Payroll (ADP) Specialist - Furniture Manufacturer

Salary: $45,000 to $55,000

Our client, a growing furniture manufacturer located in VSL is looking for an experienced payroll administrator and HR assistant to add to their team.

• Perform payroll data entry and proceed to electronic transfer of data for payroll processing (approx 175200 employees)
• Process and reconcile biweekly payrolls in a timely manner and coordinating additional payrolls as needed.
• Preparation of electronic files provided to ADP for RRSP contributions
• Process and payment of nonstandard wages: commissions, bonus, expense reimbursements.
• Track all vacation and sick days.
• Prepare monthly payroll and biweekly journal entries for the Finance department. Create reports using ADP Reporter and MS Excel.
• Performs administrative HR support including maintain and update employee files, creation of new hire in Oracle, assist with background checks, updating the training reports for the Bill 90 (Loi du 1%) and preparation with all training programs.
• Identify and recommend solutions to improve payroll processing function

 Position Requirements

• DEP in accounting and Payroll.
• Canadian payroll association accreditation constitutes a definite asset.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar position
• Knowledge of Canadian Payroll laws and regulations
• Bilingual in both written and spoken French and English.
• Excellent knowledge with MS Office Suite and internet based applications.
• Detail oriented, organized and able to communicate across functional departments.
• Versatile and dynamic person who knows how to manage pressure while maintaining a high level of service
• Accurate and discrete person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in multitasking and a team player.
