Packaging Projects Specialist

Job Description :

• Provide high quality, economic and timely services in engineering /project management as well as in the design of new installations or repairs/modifications to existing facilities (production facilities) within the company.
• Apply engineering expertise in the aim of minimizing the investments required to develop; reliable, efficient and cost effective solutions for all capital investment projects within the packaging sector while respecting the established quality, health and environmental standards.
• Make preliminary feasibility and detailed studies;
• Prepare project profiles for the packaging division's investment projects;
• Prepare technical specifications for project proposals;
• Analyze and compare proposals for packaging investment projects.
• Manage and control costs and prepare forecasts for each project to ensure budgets and timelines are respected .
• Provide the necessary technical assistance required for diverse projects such as; implementation, validation, optimization of new facilities and the introduction/transfer of new products. Initiate in a timely fashion, the required corrective measures to ensure project objectives are achieved.
• Perform tasks related to compliance and overall functioning while respecting the health, safety and environmental norms of the factory.

Basic requirements

• University degree in Engineering or equivalent degree / relevant experience.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in project management in a manufacturing industry, 3 of which in a regulated industry with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Canadian and/or US (FDA).
• Organizational skills, rigor and professionalism.
• Proven strong communication skills and an ability to mobilize teams and influence stakeholders.
• Familiarity with current Microsoft Windows soft-wares such as MS-Project and CAD software (Autocad) is an asset.
• Fluent in French and English both oral and written is essential.
