Desktop Support Analyst

The Position will report to the IT Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1st & 2nd level desktop support.
• Monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks.
• Diagnose IT issues and solve technical problems over the phone, online and/or in person.
• Install and configure computer operating systems and applications.
• Troubleshoot system and network problems and diagnose and solve hardware or software issues.
• Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports. Develop, implement and support the roll-out of new applications.
• Set up new users accounts and profiles. Respond within reasonable time limits to helpdesk tickets.
• Prioritize and manage many open tickets at a time.
• Test and evaluate new technology.
• Complete special projects as assigned.
• Manage Kaspersky Anti-Virus Server.
• Provide afterhours support as required.
• Manage server backups and maintain backup logs.
• Support Compliance Pro Systems.
• Manage Datanywhere FTP server and Citrix Sharefile.
• Troubleshoot issues with VPN and Remote Access.
• Assist Support Desk personnel with troubleshooting hardware and software problems with Laptops, Desktops and Virtual Desktop PC’s, VOIP Phones, voice mail, e-mail and reporting systems.

Qualifications:

• 2 plus years of experience in a similar role providing technical support and network administration for end-users in medium to large enterprises.
• Proficiency with MS Office and MS operating systems.
• Working knowledge with messaging systems such as Exchange or Lotus Notes.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Strong strategic thinker that develops strategies to achieve organizational goals.
• Structured and organized with time management and planning skills.
