Computer Operations Supervisor

Job Position Summary:

The IT Operations Supervisor is responsible, with the support of their team, for ensuring a high standard of user support, in terms of application availability and integrity of their data. In addition, he/she will participate in development projects to optimize specific systems for the company website .

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Ensure the security and confidentiality of the network and software by applying the corporate IT security policy on the site and its functionalities;
• Providing technical support in setting up new applications, network maintenance, and the management of maintenance contracts and services;
• Ensure/monitor the evolution of the network and the system, manage the telephone network and update inventory;
• Ensure good team management;
• Participate in managing the IT budget for the website;
• Follow up with team members to work on the problems encountered by users, projects, change requests, incidents and service requests;
• Ensure compliance of cGMP and FDA Computer Systems;
• Perform document management of all support tasks;
• Continuously validate any new hardware and/or software;
• Establish a DRP (recovery plan in case of computer disaster).

Basic requirements:

• Bachelor of Computer Science;
• 6 - 8 years experience in technical support and management systems, primarily Microsoft technologies in an international environment;
• Experience in team supervision / management;
• High availability to support applications (7/7, 24/24);
• MCSE (Microsoft Certified System Engineer) an asset;
• Able to adapt with rapid changes in technology;
• Relevant experience in the management of specialized applications (POMS, ChemStation, InTouch) and good knowledge of ITIL;
• Respect for the imposed quality standards (FDA, cGMP or other);
• Easy to manage multiple projects in parallel;
• Perfectly bilingual (English, French).
