The Centre des musiciens du monde is based on an artistic, social and educational mission.
Thanks to a residencies’ program, the artistic mission hosts and supports musicians’ innovative projects rooted in different cultural traditions, from conception to diffusion.
As a place of encounter, exchange and sharing for musicians, the Centre’s social mission fosters integration to the socio-cultural environment of Montreal, Quebec and Canada.
Finally, our educational mission offers classes, workshops and conferences about instruments and music from all around the world to general public, students and musicians from all background.
In short, the Centre des musiciens du monde is a place of creation, formation, diffusion and research to celebrate our musical diversity. By favoring a better living together, the Centre contributes to the development of a society based on the values of peace, sharing and inclusion.
