Our client is a transportation logistics company with headquarters in US (Chicago) and Canada (Toronto, Montreal).

They have seen revenue growth every year and look to continue that trend as a growing, profitable company. They are currently seeking a transportation sales representative;

They operate both a freight brokerage and their own fleet of trucks.

ABOUT OUR SALES REP POSITIONS: 

  • Get to work from from home if you reside outside Chicago, Toronto or Montreal;
  • Cold calling is usually expected, but we are open to other avenues as we simply look for results from our sales reps;

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cold calling potential customers in USA and Canada in a dedicated database;
  • Provide weekly report status of orders shipped in order to proactively plan further schedules and time estimations;
  • Track, measure and report status of distributed orders and resolve arising inconsistencies to ensure clients satisfaction;
  • Coordinate with clients and receiving warehouse personnel regarding product shipment specifics, including shelf/storage life and any possible issues with products;
  • Administer and ensure monthly targets are met by setting team goals and following up with team and shift supervisors;
  • Coordinate with management in setting sales target, and confirm all scheduling activities (routes, transportation crews and shifts) involving product shipping, transit and distribution are met based on client-approved costs and time valuations;
  • Manage all scheduling-related issues (including last-minute changes) in order to minimize delays on shipping and distribution operations;

SALES REPRESENTATIVE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must act with a sense of urgency;
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills;
  • A competitive spirit and an outgoing personality;
  • Self-motivated, Goal oriented, able to Self-manage;
  • Ability to multi-task and grow relationships with multiple customers;
  • Possess the ability to multi-task and a strong customer-service orientation;
  • Ability to identify sales opportunities, develop a strategy, and manage prospects and obtain as a customer;
  • English is mandatory + excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are a must;

ASSETS:

  • Experience with Salesforces is an Asset
  • Solid experience in the transportation / freight industry is a strong Asset.
