Our client is seeking a resourceful and professional person to fill the position of transportation coordinator for their office in Montreal.

Under the supervision of the transports manager, the candidate will be responsible for managing deliveries, as well as;

• Making sure that the equipment is available before delivery.
• Managing daily priorities with the factory shipment service.
• Managing shipments since the inventory is growing in the factory (local warehouses).
• Handling all customer claims with the claims analyst.
• Troubleshooting and taking the necessary measures for all transport problems.
• Keeping up with the transport activities.
• Lending a strong hand to custom brokers when the documentation is necessary.
• Carrying out any other similar tasks.

Requirements 

• Diploma of college studies or equivalent experience; studies in the field of transport is considered as an asset
• At least 3 years of experience in the field of transport i(trucks, containers, intermodals).
• Knowledge and experience in maritime transport (an asset)
• Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Office automation
• Knowledge in the JDEdwards software or any other PGI system (an asset)
• Bilingual (French/English), both spoken and written

The ideal candidate will:

• Be able to work in a fast paced environment
• Have great organization and prioritizing skills and able to follow many files at once
• Be analytical and great skills in preparing reports
• Have excellent communication skills
• Have good team spirit.

Salary: 45 000$ to 50 000$ per year

Schedule: Day, 9 AM to 5 PM / 40h per hour.

Status: Permanent
