Description

Our client, Equisoft is a prime system integrator for the Oracle Insurance suite of products for Fortune 500 insurance companies. Equisoft is currently looking for highly motivated, goal-oriented candidate to join the company as a report developer.

 Responsibilities

• Design: Responsible for understanding and adhering to reporting requirements and functional design documents. He will give feedback and help make the documents as robust and complete as possible;
• Creation:  Responsible for creating and modifying reports/documents to meet the end-user specifications while adhering to company standards. Quality control must also be kept in mind and a report should be fully tested. The document implementation specialist will work closely with a team of configurators and developers;
• Presale: Support sales for the insurance division. Travelling to prospect offices for demos and presentations. Preparing these presentations and working with the team to prepare the demos. Helping the sales staff, responding and coordinating RFPs as well as any other sales support requirements.

 Skills and abilities

• Experience with reporting and analysis tools (Documaker, Crystal Report, Ecrion, SSRS, etc.)
• Knowledge of XML technologies (XLS, Xpath, etc.)
• Knowledge of Freemarker
• Knowledge of the insurance industry is a strong asset
• Knowledge of ACORD standard

 Requirements

• Essential – Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
• Essential – 5+ years of experience in the industry or presale position
• Essential – Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Essential – English and Spanish fluency
• Asset – French fluency
• Asset – Strong data management skills with the ability to produce complex ad-hoc documents or reports
• Asset – Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail oriented
• Asset – Possess above average analytical and problem solving skills
• Asset – Excellent interpersonal and people skills

* This position requires travel to prospect offices and to our other EquiSoft offices 20% of the time.
