Skills:

  • Bilingual french/english;
  • Computer skills: office suite, SAP is an asset;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a buyer;
  • 2+ years of experience as a buyer in the distribution is an asset;
  • CEGEP or University degree in a related field.

Job description:

  • Buyer is responsible for managing the complete supply chain of products allocated to him to meet the needs of Motovan;
  • Developing, maintaining and improving the product offering in connection with suppliers, managers and vendors;
  • Manage and maintain professional relationships with different suppliers;
  • Manage the "SKUs" including currents, discontinued and obsolete;
  • Make sure the goods are in stock at the right time;
  • Manage problems with suppliers and refer to the purchasing manager as necessary;
  • Negotiates prices, quantities, delivery terms and follow orders;
  • Fixed the costs and the suggested retail price based on the calculation of margins and maintenance of price lists;
  • Attends various bike shows.
