Outside Sales Representative – 14313R

Our client is a world leader in dock and marina equipment. It is a full-service company that will support clients through every step of their marina project, from design and manufacture, to installation and follow-up,  no matter where the location. Our client is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated and results-oriented individual  to join its team as an Outside Sales Representative.

Main duties and responsibilities

The Outside Sales Representative will prospect, identify and capitalize on new business opportunities while nurturing existing partnerships in the Ontario region. More specifically, the incumbent will:

  • Develop and draft a territory sales management plan that includes identifying and targeting new customers;
  • Build and maintain customer relationships founded on trust;
  • Prepare and present price quotes, and manage margins in accordance with company goals;
  • Achieve quarterly and yearly company sales objectives with weekly sales reports;
  • Act as intermediary between the Engineering and Manufacturing departments for the duration of the project;
  • Provide support for the company’s products and engage in promotional activities to drive sales opportunities.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science (Engineering or Manufacturing) or Sales and Business Development is an asset;
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of sales experience in a technical or manufacturing, consultative sales environment;
  • Experience in a project management role is essential;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and sales tools and software;
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills with a strong business acumen;
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills, and the ability to adapt to changing customer profiles and needs.

Working conditions :

  • Work performed primarily in a home office environment;
  • 75% travel (Ontario to start, Great Lakes area as a potential territory for development);
  • Base salary plus sales commission and bonus (on meeting objectives);
  • Monthly car allowance;
  • Expense account to cover travel and other work-related costs;
