An appealing company working in the domestic import products and design is looking for an operations manager. If you have excellent prioritization and time management skills, we want to meet you!

Tasks and responsibilities:  

Operations Planning, Management and Reporting:

  • Prepare the operations’ budget for the Montreal location on a yearly basis and submit monthly updates to the Chief Operations Officer and Finance team;
  • Ensure operational policies and procedures to achieve organizational consistency and efficiency;
  • Ensure that the location is free from pilferage;
  • Partner in creating training materials for continuous improvement;
  • Establish key benchmarks and performance indicators to assess operational effectiveness in store and in the warehouse.
  • Carry out any other similar tasks.

Showroom Management:

  • Manage the Store Manager to retain, develop and recruit for the Customer Experience team to promote the brand image;
  • Manage the Customer Experience team and ensure a unique shopping experience for customers;
  • Ensure the store meets the sales targets and earning profit;
  • Maintain the overall image of the showroom;
  • Make sure the items sold in the showroom are moved to the warehouse shipping/pickup zone in timely manner with trackable document and replace with new items on daily basis;
  • Inform the Sales team on how to use Point of Sales system (POS);
  • Oversee the store operation workflow.

Warehouse Management:

  • Manage store assets and in charge of the store’s safety;
  • Manage the shipping and receiving functions and develop performance standards and KPI’s;
  • Maintain the inventory by setting up warehouse rules, procedures and providing on-going training;
  • Manage the warehouse manager to ensure timely and accurate order deliveries;
  • Manage all open sales order;
  • Manage the warehouse inventory cycle count program;
  • Manage returned products through various channels;
  • Negotiate transportation rates and services with freight carriers to obtain the most cost-effective;
  • Supervise, coach and train the warehouse workforce.

Requirements:

  • University degree in related studies.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar environment (preferably in retail/e-commerce/management).
  • Good management and highest priorities.
  • Perfectly bilingual oral/written (English/French).
