Maintenance Supervisor # 1572

Our client is looking for a proactive and professional person to be their maintenance supervisor for their factory in Montreal East.

Under the supervision of the operations manager, the maintenance supervisor will have to:

• Organize and supervise factory maintenance;
• Create and manage the schedules of the personnel;
• Install, maintain and repair mechanical equipment, as well as factory tools;
• Develop and manage the implementation of a preventive maintenance program;
• Supervise the hiring and training of new employees;
• Ensure the quality of the work place in order to meet the Corporate Health and Safety standards;
• Negotiate, buy and analyze costs of new equipment;
• Ensure maintenance of the building, including light electric and plumbing work;
• Supervise sub-contractor teams;
• Stay updated with different trends and techniques in the field.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be proactive.
• Have great communication, organization and planning skills.
• Have great mechanic aptitudes and be able to read schemes.
• Have experience in a manufacture where there are sewing machines in use, an asset.
• Have knowledge in computers.

Requirements:

• Studies in operation management, an asset.
• Have excellent knowledge in mechanics, tires, electrics and hydraulics.
• At least 8 years of experience in a similar position.
• Good level of bilingualism.
• Be familiar with safety programs in manufactures.

Salary: 60 000$ to 65 000$ per year + bonus.

Schedule: Day / 40 hours per week.

Status: Permanent
