Located in Laval, our client is seeking an industrial mechanic!

Your main functions:

• Change used or broken parts;
• Weld when required;
• Adjust chains, training belts;
• Install new equipment pieces;
• Answer emergency calls when needed (evening and weekend calls);
• Repair and maintain the building and supervise the work;
• Replace all damages and repairs;
• Take part in establishing a preventative management program;
• Enter data in the EP software;
• Revise the preventative maintenance calendar for corrections;
• Identify major problems and take part in improvement projects;
• Consult for equipment purchases and modifications;
• Research parts with suppliers, when required;
• Ask for bids subcontracting, when requested;
• Ensure that the work being done by the entrepreneurs is being respected;
• Install new equipment.
• Inform and consult operators regarding the modifications done on the equipment;
• Take inventory of the parts to change;
• Respect safety instructions and the capacity of the equipment;
• Respect the company’s administrative rules and procedures;
• Report all problems and faults to your immediate factory supervisor;
• Carry out any other similar tasks related to the job.

Requirements:

• DVS in industrial mechanics
• Two (2) years of experience in a similar position
• Knowledge in mechanics, pneumatics, electricity and welding;
• Knowledge in padlocking (asset);
• Ability to drive a forklift (asset).
• Ability to provide some physical effort

Salary: 18$ to 23$ per hour

Schedule: Day / 32 hours per week / Saturday-Sunday: 9 AM to 9 PM – Monday: 8 AM to 4 PM

Status: Temporary to permanent.
