Our Client, a leader of devices' and parts' manufacturing in the Aerospace Industry is looking to hire a Human Resources Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities and recommend /drive change management strategies to increase performance, reduce cost, and positively impact both HR and the business;
  • Manage the performance management program (SuccessFactors) for the organization to aid leadership with goal deployment and cascading organizational goals throughout the employee base;
  • Coach Manager’s on the creation and management of PIP’s for employees;
  • Partner with key leaders on critical, strategic hires. Be a consultative resource, active member, and a trusted advisor on the HR leadership team;
  • Assure that operations are conducted in accordance with the Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct and applicable law and regulation; take lead roles in corrective action necessary to restore conformity with ethical and compliance standards; serve as role model and actively foster employee awareness of and commitment to the Code;
  • Build relationships with business leaders, managers, and the HR team to help drive successful people strategies and programs;
  • Direct talent management initiatives including performance management, diversity & inclusion, employee training, organizational development, compensation programs, and succession planning. Ensure efforts are synchronized with corporate organizational development/organizational effectiveness initiatives;
  • Ensure that all HR administrative functions are handled in an accurate and timely manner;
  • Provide consultation to business and employees on all aspects of human resources strategy and policy;
  • Ensure that the company has effective communication systems including the use of technology, coaching business leaders, and providing helpful, compliant written materials.

Requirements:

  • 5 -10 years as a Human Resources Manager in an industrial setting;
  • BA/BS in Business Administration, Human Resources Management or related discipline;
  • Knowledge of general Human Resources policies, programs, practices and procedures related to employee relations, recruitment, compensation, benefits, and EEO/AAP;
  • Knowledge of and skill in interpreting and applying provincial and federal statues and applicable rules and regulations related to the management of human resources, including FMLA and COBRA;
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Excellent oral and written communication, attention to detail, organization, time management and presentation skills;
  • Skill in facilitating meetings as well as organizing, tracking and prioritizing assignments and tasks;
  • Has worked in unionized manufacturing environment;
  • Has direct knowledge in negotiating union labor agreements;
  • Should be Bilingual – French & English.

Work Location: Montreal

Salary: Competitive salary + Annual Bonus

Starts with a 3 weeks vacation/year (2 weeks annual vacation and 1 week vacation during holidays).
