Dock Supervisor #2069

Seeking a dock supervisor! Great career opportunity!

Our client specialized in the transportation of LTL merchandise and is looking for a dock supervisor who will be in charge of supervising, observing and coordinating dock operations. This person will be in charge of the performance based on standards and will have to ensure that the business goals are met.

Main responsibilities:

• Observe and coordinate the operations for unloading and loading merchandise;
• Evaluate performance and correct the problems with disciplinary processes;
• Regularly meet team members, collectively or individually, in order to verify the progress to reach goals, follow their performance, manage and consult them, as well as recognizing the team’s or the individual’s success;
• Plan, revise and supervise all the processes while making sure that they meet the company’s standards and the client’s service specifics;
• Help load and unload when necessary.

Requirements:

• High school diploma finished.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in supervision in a company of general merchandise transportation (LTL), necessary
• Experience driving an electric sit down forklift. 
• Bilingual, both spoken and written.
• Knowledge in computer science – including Excel & Word, an asset.
• Good knowledge in dock transport operations in an LTL Transport company.

Salary: 54 000$ to 58 000$ per year / based on experience.

Schedule: Evening, from 3pm to 12:30am / 40h per week.

Status: Permanent.
