Dock Foreman / Forewoman – evening #1982

Evening dock foreman/forewoman! Great career opportunity!

We are seeking an evening dock foreman/forewoman who will be in charge of supervising, observing and coordinating dock operations. The candidate will be responsible for the performance based on the standards and will have to ensure to reach business goals.

Main responsibilities:

• Observe and coordinate merchandise loading and unloading operations;
• Evaluate performances and address the problems with corrective measures and disciplinary processes to follow;
• Regularly meet the team members, collectively and individually, in order to verify the progress, performance, oversee and consult them, as well as recognizing the team’s and individual’s success;
• Plan, revise and supervise all the processes by making sure they meet all company standards and the client’s service specifics.

Requirements:

• High school diploma completed.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience supervising in a general transport company (L.T.L.) an asset
• Experience using an electric sit down forklift. 
• Bilingual, both spoken and written.
• Knowledge in informatics – including Excel & Word, an asset.
• Good knowledge in dock transport operations in a L.T.L Transport company.

Salary: 52 000$ to 60 000$ per year.

Schedule: Evening shift / 40h per week

Status: Permanent.
