An appealing company working in the domestic import products and design is looking for a Chief Operating Officer (COO). If you have a data driven mindset and deep insight in the furniture industry, we want to meet you!

We are looking for a senior executive to implement strategies, sustainable growth of sales, increase customer service level and grow a strong team.

Tasks and responsibilities:  

Operations Management

  • Manage operating processes within the corporate value chain to deliver profitable sales growth, build organizational capabilities, enhance culture, achieve enterprise-wide productivity gains while reducing costs;
  • Lead day to day activities of multi-locations with direct oversight of showrooms, warehouses, Supply Chain, Information Technology, Customer Service, Human Resources, and Legal;
  • Develop new locations (warehouses, showrooms);
  • Prepare reports, the budget and maintain the costs follow-up;
  • Set appropriate performance targets, monitoring of progress and KPI reporting to leadership;
  • Ensure the usage of enabling technologies (ERP and other technology).

Strategy Management

  • Work with CEO to setup appropriate organizational structures;
  • Translate strategic goals into a tangible working reality for employees;
  • Implement operating systems, establishing and implementing operating policies, directives, procedures and KPIs;
  • Support all departments (IT, HR, etc.);
  • Manage recruiting strategies to take part in hiring the best talent and be part of their development.
  • Be a mentor;
  • Align resources and talent management to implement a bonus and recognition system.

Transformation initiatives

  • Ensure the transitional change in order to set up clear objectives;
  • Lead by motivation and commitment;
  • Assist the executive members in shaping the company culture;
  • Offer a strategic opinion and share as many options as possible;
  • Ensure a profitable vision for operations and design a framework for it.

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office;
  • 5 to 7 years of similar experience, preferably in retail/e-commerce/management;
  • Excellent priority management;
  • Being perfectly bilingual (English/French).
