Our client in Montreal East is currently looking for a trustworthy junior buyer to join their team.

The main tasks of the position:

• Search, identify and recommend the most competitive providers on the market;
• Develop and maintain excellent business relations with providers;
• Manage and do follow-ups;
• Take charge of the purchase orders of the activity sector;
• Prioritize urgent production orders;
• Work to optimize purchases and costs;
• Play an advisory role for new products and/or providers;
• Find efficient solutions during many problems related to purchase procurement;
• Support the purchases department;
• Other similar tasks.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in procurement or administration (an important asset).
• 3 to 5 years of experience in purchases in the manufacturing industry.
• Very good knowledge in procurement techniques and increase in providers in maintenance pieces and services (plumbing, electricity, electronics, construction materials is an asset).
• Proficiency in the Canadian and American purchasing market in the industrial sector.
• Knowledge of legal terms related to purchase contracts.
• Knowledge and respect of the ISO, HACPP, FSSC22000 standards (an asset).
• Knowledge in computer science (Word, Excel, Outlook, Maximo, Navision).
• Spoken and written bilingualism (French and English).

Salary: 50 000$ to 55 000$ per year

Schedule: Day, full-time

Status: Permanent
