Our client, a growing company in the clothing industry, is looking to hire a technical designer who will prepare detailed specifications of garments required by the company.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

• Create all the technical specifications of a garment on Adobe Illustrator.
• Prepare all tech pack styles including the technical aspects of sewing and garment construction to supplier.
• Preparation of adequate measurement sheets in accordance with the technical drawings.
• Responsible to send the tech packs to supplier.
• Measuring the garment upon completion from supplier and enter measurements on the spec sheet.
• Proceed with the technical verification of the garment (Quality Control) as required.
• Schedule a fitting interview with the model and the merchandiser.
• Make measurements and fit adjustments during fitting session with models.
• Send revisions to supplier.
• Answer all incoming emails from supplier every morning.
• Make color information sheets for all collections (color details of all trims and garment, back info).
• Conduct clerical tasks for the department (send and receive packages, create follow-up tools, file documents, fill-in various types of documents with detailed accuracy).
• Participate in the production of the garment by reviewing and sending comments to the supplier on the various items (lab dip, strike-off fabrics quality, trims, etc.).
• Contact the licensor and the designer to submit, confirm or request information about the design of the collection.
• All other related tasks.

Requirements:

• Excellent English (oral and written skills) – French is an asset.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm ,37.5 hours per week
