Our client is looking for someone to fill the position of technical construction draftsperson.

Our client is a renowned company and an expert in its field. Our client wants to add a technical draftsperson, who loves team work and has flexibility, to their team in Saint-Jérôme.

As a draftsperson in a team, you will have to:

• Analyze and interpret received plans.
• Create 3D designs on Tekla and/or SolidWorks of steel structure and working metals.
• Carry out 3D shaping, workshop designs and implementations for production.
• Prepare cutting and material lists for production.
• Create designs based on plans, drafts and engineer concepts.
• Research information on specialized material and concepts of products for fabrication.
• Solve problems related to the design.
• Update manufacturing plans according to the building site statements.
• Take action on the site.
• Carry out any other similar tasks requested by your supervisor.

Requirements:

• Training in building drafting, architecture, civil engineer or any other training or experience seen as an equivalent.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in an industrial environment (manufacturing SME).
• Extensive experience in the field of manufactured metals and/or steel structure (stairs, handrails, railing).
• Experience in drafting steel structures and metals for construction sites.
• AVS in construction would be an asset.
• Extensive knowledge of the Tekla software and SolidWorks are an asset.
• Extensive knowledge of the manufacturing procedures.
• Knowledge of welding symbols and the building code.
• Able to read and understand plans and estimates.
• Valid class 5 driver’s license (Asset).

Salary: 18$ to 23$ an hour, based on experience

Schedule: From 7:45am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday / From 7:45aam to 12:45pm on Friday.

Status: Temporary with possible permanence.
