Shipping Supervisor # 1574

Later will be too late – the interviews will be held in our offices next week! Our client in the West of Montreal is looking for a shipping supervisor to join their team, and it is urgent!

The work will be split in two:

Planning the work:

• Optimally planning and organizing the work while affecting the resources;
• Plan shipments based on received orders;
• Follow-up on the expeditions and update the computer system;
• Ensure that clients’ orders are prepared;
• Plan delivery truck schedules and ensure merchandise reception and delivery; 
• Make sure to always have the documents necessary for planning pick-up and delivery schedules fr the drivers;
• Constantly look for nonconforming products;
• Take part of coming up with measures to improve product and procedure quality;
• Actively be part of meetings.

Team management:

• Ensure to always have the human resources and necessary tools to do the work;
• Maintain team motivation and a pleasant environment;
• Be responsible to greet and integrate new employees;
• Do performance assessments;
• Manage possible internal conflicts;
• Inform employees about different information: work schedule, production shutdown, safety standards, etc.;
• Find and address employee training needs;
• Ensure that the team respects company policies and procedures;
• Make sure that the company quality requirements are met;
• Manage schedules, over-time, absences, vacations, replacements, attendance, etc.;
• Contact agencies in case of needing more personnel;
• Other tasks related to the position.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a shipping supervisor,
• Comfortable working with computers,
• Good level of bilingualism.

Salary: 50 000$ to 60 000$ based on experience qualifications.

Schedule: Day, 7am to 3pm (40 hours).

Status: Permanent
