Our client is a construction contractor that is well established in Québec and specializes in foundation work. They serve a residential, commercial, and industrial client base. They are currently looking for a Project Supervisor.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the Regional Director, your job will be to promote, structure, and develop the company’s services and to manage various foundation projects in the residential sector.

  • Carry out any other task upon the request of your superior.
  • Develop the territory which is entrusted to you by the company; promote the company through networking and social involvement (chamber of commerce, municipalities, other movements);
  • Take any necessary training sessions, including those recommended by your superior;
  • Attend all sales and production meetings;
  • Work alongside your superior to maintain a unit price list, as well as a quotation sheet and a template for tenders;
  • Cooperate with the production coordinator on work carried out on site;
  • Take responsibility for workplace health and safety; supervise your crews as they carry out the work;
  • Work with subcontractors whose prices are negotiated in advance;
  • Approve invoices and prepare administrative documents for your contracts;
  • Sign legal documents with clients;
  • Manage after-sale service; as much as possible prevent legal disputes with clients, and deal with them when they arise;
  • Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers in order to optimize quality while minimizing costs;
  • Work alongside the technical department in developing plans for each file;
  • Carry out estimations and produce quotations using the company’s software;
  • Collect client data;

Required qualification

  • College diploma in civil engineering, architecture, or any other relevant education;
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in construction;
  • Familiar with Québec’s construction laws and regulations;
  • Bilingualism (French and English;
  • Considerable experience working with underpinning, foundations, excavation, etc.;
  • Entrepreneurial spirit.
