Our client is a great company in St-André -d’Argenteuil and is currently looking for a production planner. The candidate will also be responsible of inventory related to production.

Main functions:

  • Perform a realistic analysis of production capability before establishing a delivery date.
  • Responsible for production and spoilage data entry in the accounting system.
  • Issue a delivery date for every production order in a 1 weekday delay.
  • Prepare a plan that maximizes operational efficiency.
  • Make sure to have the corresponding tools before launching the production sequence.
  • First responsible for an efficient management of all of inventory
  • Gather and update different computer systems, all data related to production and implement different reports if necessary.
  • Update the sales reports every day.
  • Analyse with the director of operations, the different KPI and participate in elaborating solutions with the production team.
  • Do a daily analysis of different variables that may influence the delivery date and submit these analyses / recommendations at the priority meeting.
  • Show leadership in the daily priority meeting.
  • Make sure to communicate with the logistics and customer service coordinator as soon as possible of any delivery date changes.
  • Confirm the finished product inventory before sequencing the production of this product, and ensure to optimize every sequence launched.
  • Do a close follow-up on purchases and subcontracts with the buyer to ensure that the date promised to clients is respected.
  • Actively participate in meetings for daily priorities, weekly production meetings and other relevant meetings.
  • Actively participate in all orders of production support at both factories involved in researching solutions for quality or production problems.
  • Create an environment ideal for exchanges of ideas to facilitate change and manage the implementation of a continuous improvement culture.
  • Equipment and tooling fleets are constantly updated and analyzed in order to provide their full potential.
  • Participate and manage, if needed, different continuous improvement groups and/or Kaizen.
  • Partner with immediate supervisors of the targeted staff, mobilize resources necessary to creating planned activities, while respecting schedules and to reach goals.
  • Contribute to employee supervision towards respect and listening.
  • Strong effort and focused on reaching common goals.
  • Satisfied internal and external clients.
  • Respect Health and Safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Industrial Engineer.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • 6 to 9 years of experience.

  • Continuous improvement training.

Salary: 55 000$ and more, based on experience.

Schedule: Full-time / Day shift.
