Multivac operator # 1650

The Multivac operator is in charge of handling and packing products. This needs to be done while adhering to health and safety norms at work.

Our client, located in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, is currently looking for a Multivac operator to join their team. This is a great job opportunity that can lead to a permanent position within a rapidly expanding company!

Tasks:

• Operate and control all equipment safely and according to company’s procedures ;
• Being able to start and stop the machine when required ;
• Perform minor adjustments on the machines ;
• Reduce the production’s downtimes and losses;
• Ensure the products’ conformity to established product quality standards;
• Assure a follow-up on the equipment’s opening and closing procedures;
• Being able to withdraw and put back the guards on the machine if needed;
• Install or withdraw tools designated  to certain products ;
• Being able to install films ( weighing between 30 and 40 kilos) ;
• Complete all documentation necessary to the ongoing production ;
• Identify, in need be, problems and abnormalities along the production process;
• Assist and observe mechanical interventions in order to improve your own abilities ;
• Perform inspection of the machinery chains on a regular basis ;
• Ensure to post up VQS according to strategic positions and withdraw them at the end of production ;
• Assure all security devices are functional and in accordance on its machinery and complete all required forms;
• Keep your work space clean, aired out and safe ;
• Perform all other related tasks required by your immediate supervisor.

Required profile:

• Excellent knowledge of production good practices, HACCP environment as well as all sanitary and safety standards and regulations;
• Proven and solid problem-solving abilities;
• Good ability to work in a team;
• Responsible and results-driven;
• Good sense of initiative, priority management and proven excellent judgment skills.

Requirements:

• High school degree, or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar position.
• Experience in industrial production.
• Experience in the food production, pharmaceutical or cosmetic field (asset).
• Good knowledge of technology (asset)
• Able to work standing up.
• Has access to a car (an asset).
• Knowledge of French, a good asset.
• Must be available to work weekends occasionally.

Salary: 13.50$ per hour + 50$-100$ weekend incentive

Schedule: Day shift, 7am to 3pm or evening shift, 3pm to 11pm / Saturday and Sunday + 2-3 days / 32-37 hours per week / Flexible schedule.

Status: Temporary to permanent
