Are you recently graduated in mechanical engineering or do you have experience in research and development or in product development? We have a great opportunity for the new year!

Our client is a known manufacturing company, in business for 70 years and wishes to hire a new mechanical engineering technician for their team. Under the supervision of the director of engineer, the technician will work with the research and development team and be in charge of developing new products or modifying current products.

Tasks:

  • Assemble or modify different prototypes by following directions and detailed plans.
  • Inspect parts by using different measuring tools, fill out the data and gather results.
  • Build test beds for many tests.
  • Take part in safety and efficiency trials, and the quality control of the products.
  • Take note of the initial test parameters and the sample, and make sure they respect the required criteria.
  • Find any faults that can affect the test results.
  • Carry out any other similar tasks.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be organized and observant.

  • Be able to read mechanical and electrical plans.

  • Have rigour and be meticulous.

Requirements:

  • DCS in mechanical engineer or any other relevant study.
  • 0 to 2 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Good knowledge in plumbing/heating, natural gas and electricity are considered as assets
  • Extensive knowledge in MS Office.
  • Excellent communication in French, both spoken and written.
  • Ability to read in English.

Salary: 21$ to 25$ per hour, based on experience.

Schedule: Day shift.

Status: Permanent.
