Mechanical Draftsperson
Our client is a firmly established business specializing in the design, manufacturing, and installation of conveyors (push plate conveyors, belt conveyors, flat conveyors, and roller conveyors) designed for the bottling, food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic industries, as well as packaging machinery distributors. They are currently looking for a mechanical draftsperson.
Nature of position
Under the supervision of company management, your job will be to develop and create technical drawings of the various pieces of equipment manufactured by the company, in addition to working on improving and making changes to existing ones.
- File technical drawings.
- Check the compliance of work requested by the sales department as compared with the production department;
- Check the feasibility of parts with production;
- Monitor projects being manufactured;
- Correct files when production must make changes;
- Prepare lists of mechanical and pneumatic components for the purchasing department;
- Prepare component cut lists;
- Help the head of engineering with the preparation of bids;
- Prepare shop drawings;
Required qualification
- College diploma in mechanical engineering or vocational diploma in engineering drawing;
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience;
- Proficient with Autocad and the MS Office suite;
- Proficient with 3D parametric design software (SolidWorks, Inventor, etc.) is considered an asset.
