Manufacturing Supervisor – Evening Shift # 622

Our client in Boucherville is a Quebec-based company that is very well established and active in international markets.

Our client is seeking a resourceful and professional person to fill a permanent position of evening manufacturing supervisor.

Main tasks:

• Be the person resource for all factory needs during your shift.
• Carry out logistical tasks.
• Promote healthy work habits related to employee health and safety.
• Be a member of the factory health and safety committee.
• Do monthly health and safety inspections.
• Do a quality control of the manufactured products.
• Develop solid and respectful relation with your employees and coworkers of the different departments.
• Follow factory rules, policies and other procedures.
• Follow up with employees during your shift.
• Do an annual employee evaluation.
• Help the multifunctional team to create new products, package or the continuous improvement of processes with the R&D, maintenance and engineering teams.
• Transfer all information to the night shift and plan the production for the night according to the staff and manufacturing needs.
• Verify that the material necessary for the night shift is available.
• Carry out any other similar tasks.

Requirements:

• Diploma of college studies in industrial engineering or a technique in supervision and manufacturing production.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, 2 in supervision.
• Extensive knowledge in occupational health and safety practices.
• General knowledge in informatics (intermediate level).
• Extensive knowledge in English (intermediate level).
• Focused on results and product quality.
• Knowledge in lean manufacturing.
• Good ability to plan and manage.
• Having leadership and self-efficiency.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Salary: 60 000$ to 65 000$ per hour.

Schedule: Evening shift / 3 PM to 11:30 PM.

Status: Permanent.
