Our client is a manufacturing company specializing in the manufacture of parts for the automotive sector, with clients in North America, Europe, and Asia. They are currently looking for manufacturing projects engineer for their state-of-the-art facilities.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the Director of technical services, your job will be to manage investment projects related to modifications to existing equipment or to new equipment.

  • Design, develop, and improve various pieces of production equipment;
  • Manage, identify, and implement improvement projects for equipment and processes in order to minimize downtime and lead time, and to reduce waste;
  • Carry out studies, analyze and interpret data in order to diagnose problems with existing production equipment;
  • Maintain, improve, and modify operations procedures;
  • Analyze maintenance, repair, and manufacturing costs;
  • Provide technical support for all sectors of the plant;
  • Check and approve technical drawings;
  • Carry out any other task related to your duties.

Required qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or other relevant education and training;
  • Member of l’Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec;
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing sector;
  • Knowledgeable of SolidWorks or other 3D design software;
  • Fluent in spoken and written French and English;
  • Knowledge of plastics injection moulding and machining of parts are assets.
