Our client - a  Montreal-based Fashion Apparel Importer specialized in Men/Women/Kid's clothing is hiring an experienced import coordinator for their Ladieswear's division.

  • Experience and knowledge in Apparel Production concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Proven success in an Apparel/Garment Logistics and Manufacturing environment
  • Partner closely with Production, QC, Customer Service and Distribution teams
  • Coordinate and monitor inbound bookings, customs release and movement
  • Work closely with freight forwarders to assure shipment arrive in house in a timely manner
  • Communicate with Production regarding any changes
  • Communicate with Customer Service and Distribution Team on any changes in the delivery dates
  • Keep logs and records of status
  • Check shipping documents from all vendors incoming import shipments
  • Responsible for record keeping documents.

Skills/Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a related Apparel role
  • Ability to think conceptually and to put ideas into practice
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high performance environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and accountability
  • Exceptional follow-up skills and ability to analyze work load and plan accordingly
  • Strong understanding of Logistics Compliance
  • Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure

Salary: $50,000
