Dock Supervisor – day #1982

Day dock supervisor! Great career opportunity!

We are seeking a day dock supervisor who will be in charge of supervising, observing and coordinating dock operations. The candidate will be responsible for the performance based on the standards and will have to ensure to reach business goals.

Main responsibilities:

• Observe and coordinate merchandise loading and unloading operations;
• Evaluate performances and address the problems with corrective measures and disciplinary processes to follow;
• Assign and guide the trucks arriving on the dock;
• Regularly meet the team members, collectively and individually, in order to verify the progress, performance, oversee and consult them, as well as recognizing the team’s and individual’s success;
• Plan, revise and supervise all the processes by making sure they meet all company standards and the client’s service specifics;
• Plan the loads according to the schedules;
• Supervise a team of 10 forklift driver.

Requirements:

• High school diploma completed.
• Minimum two to five years of experience supervising in a general transport company.
• Bilingual, both spoken and written.
• Knowledge in informatics – including Excel & Word, an asset.
• Experience in LTL transport.
• Experience using an electric sit down forklift.

Salary: 50 000$ to 55 000$ per year and full group insurance.

Schedule: Day shift / about 45 hours per week
