Do you have experience as a dispatcher in road transportation and are known for you expertise? We are looking for someone like you!

Our client in Dorval is looking for a dispatcher in road transportation to complete its day team.

The main responsibilities are to:

• Proactively plan the staff’s needs according to the amount of business;
• Do the necessary follow-ups and apply the disciplinary actions to the drivers;
• Coordinate and keep the activities of the vehicles operators, equipment and material up to date;
• Study the travel files to know the exactitude of the activities;
• Make sure that the driver’s documents are correctly filled;
• Authorize the drivers’ travel sheets and verify the eligible hours payable: wait, unloading, reloading, before travel;
• Carry out the clearance formalities;
• Coordinate with the fleet maintenance, truck and trailer repairs supervisor, ifnecessary;
• Enhance health and safety for all employees;
• Do any other similar tasks, based on needs.

Requirements:

• Diploma of College Studies or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a dispatcher.
• Excellent knowledge in Canadian geography.
• Good knowledge in informatics (Microsoft Office, Satellite Systems, Transportation Management System TRUCKMATE).
• Able to manage many tasks,
• Good planning and analysis skills.
• Good knowledge in transport regulations.
• French and English bilingualism – essential.

Salary: 42 000$ per year

Schedule: Day, from 7 AM to 3:30 PM / 40h per week.

Status: Permanent
