Our client is looking for a resourceful and professional person to fill the position of coordinator of transportation for their Montreal office.

Under the supervision of the transport manager, the candidate will be in charge of planning and managing deliveries, as well as;

• Ensuring that the equipment is available at the factory 24 to 48 hours before the scheduled delivery date;
• Making sure to coordination daily priorities with the factory’s shipment service;
• Coordinating shipments since the factory’s inventory is expanding (local warehouses);
• Handling clients’ claims, with the claims analyst;
• Troubleshooting and taking action concerning transport problems as they come;
• Staying up to date with all activities related to transport;
• Helping customs brokers when the documentation is considered necessary.

Requirements:

• Diploma of college studies or the equivalent in experience; studies in the transport industry are considered an asset;
• At least 3 years of experience in transport in a manufacturing environment (trucks containers, intermodal);
• Knowledge and experience in maritime transport (an asset);
• Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Office;
• Knowledge of the JDEdwards software or any other ERP system (an asset);
• Advanced bilingualism (French/English), both spoken and written.

Salary: 45 000$ to 50 000 $ per year / based on experience.

Schedule: Day, 9am to 5pm / 40h per week.

Status: Permanent.
