Our client is a great company in Laval and is seeking a construction machine mechanic for the day shift. Do you have minimum 2 years of experience and are known for being resourceful and multi-skilled? We have a job made for you!

The candidate will be in charge of carrying out preventative maintenance on equipment, lubricating construction machines.

You will also have to carry out some basic mechanical repairs.

Main functions:

  • Identify the type of maintenance required to lubricate the equipment.
  • Order parts necessary for maintenance.
  • Carry out mechanical repairs and/or replace defective parts with manual mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic tools if necessary.
  • Test the repaired equipment in order to make sure it works and that the repairs comply with the manufacture’s requirements.
  • Clean and lubricate the equipment, and do maintenance tasks.
  • Carry out all tasks assigned by your immediate superior, whether on the road or in the workshop.
  • Respect the given times to do the required maintenance and/or repairs.
  • Inform your immediate superior of all maintenances required on all units and/or defects.
  • Clean the workspace and keep the workshop equipment in good condition.
  • Follow the established policies and procedures.
  • Be part of the training.
  • Carry out any other tasks given by your immediate superior.

Requirements:

  • DVS in construction machine mechanics.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in construction machine mechanics as well as in a field.
  • Ability to detect defects.
  • Class 1 or 3 license.
  • Knowledge in Komatsu products (asset).
  • Bilingualism (French and English).

Salary: 28$ per hour.

Schedule: Day shift / 7 AM to 4 PM

Status: Permanent
