STATION EST, a new residence for retirees that will officially open on October 1st 2017, is currently looking for one (1) building maintenance janitor to join their new maintenance team. Your challenge:

• Making sure that everything is in order, clean and that the common areas inside and outside of the residence are maintained, while doing heavy work in those areas;
• Ensuring preventive maintenance of the systems and equipment;
• Helping residents for all malfunctions in the residence;
• Doing general tasks for service requisition system;
• Doing periodical verifications and current adjustments of equipment based on the preventive maintenance schedule (sanitary installments, furnaces, fire extinguishers, filters, etc.);
• Doing tasks like: minor repairs, rearranging and remodeling vacant rooms (replacing cupboards, sinks, toilets, ceramic tiles, plaster and paint, etc);
• Doing minor plumbing and maintaining simple mechanical installations;
• Installing and repairing hardware and locks;
• Helping the manager in managing equipment and physical resources of the residence and contributing to a good inventory management;
• Replacing the manager during their absence;
• Helping prevent accidents and ensuring safety in ll locations.

Requirements:

• Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in building maintenance;
• DVS in General Building Maintenance (an asset);
• Basic knowledge in plumbing and electricity;
• Basic knowledge of computer tools;
• Bilingualism (an asset);
• Experience in using manual tools;
• Have no legal impediment related to the position.

Salary: To be discussed

Schedule: Full-time / Day / One week out of two

Status: Permanent / Position starts as soon as possible
