We are seeking someone with experience to fill the position of bakery operator for one of our clients in Dollard-des-Ormeaux.

Your main tasks consist of:

  • Programming the mixer for dough recipes (more or less 30 times per day).
  • Programming/creating recipes for the Rondo, always matching the recipes of the day with the production setting.
  • Removing the dough (up to 85kg) from the mixer (safely, to prevent injuries), to then transfer it in the Ronda more or less 30 times per day).
  • Oiling the conveyor when needed.
  • Weighing the dough to make sure it meets the quality standards.
  • Completing the graphs for dough, sausages/toppings and adjusting them when needed.
  • Filling traceability documents and do a follow up on the recipe of each dough (30 time per day).
  • Documenting every recipes changes (ex.: weight of water, yeast…) and signaling every modification required for the recipe to the supervisor.
  • Locking the sieve of the Silo and keeping the key at the bakery, giving the key to a colleague who has to procure the flour only when there is no order for the mixer, and making sure that the key returns to the bakery.
  • Taking the necessary actions to reduce the amount of dough lost as far as trimmings on each side of the conveyor.
  • Inserting the dough trimming according to the number of kilos allowed per recipe.
  • Ensuring that the losses are accountable to every person in charge of this task.
  • Ensuring safety during the oil change in the tank by the forklift operator (making sure that the banners are in place and the all employees are forbidden to circulate during this operation).
  • Dismantling and cleaning the equipment and your work station at the end of your shift.
  • Carrying out any other tasks related to the position.

Requirements:

Training in a bakery and/or experience in an industrial bakery / High school diploma / Experience in industrial manufacturing in the fields of food and pharmaceutical (asset) /Ability to work standing all day / Knowledge of the HACCP standards / Knowledge in mechanics (asset) / Manual dexterity / Ability to provide some physical effort / Ability to work in the cold (5 to 13 degrees).

Salary: 14.28$ per hour + 0.50$ evening premium + weekend premium of 100$.

Schedule: Evening shift / Saturday and Sunday from 12:30 PM to 11 PM, and Monday and Friday from 2:30 PM to 11 PM
